Our tools and resources
Our mission to make the Word of God available and accessible to everyone is not a simple task, but it’s one that people around the world are passionately advancing. Translating Scripture involves a whole landscape of people, processes, and systems which help make translations available for individuals and communities. Our tools support this ecosystem and mission.

Bible Routes from UBS Project MARBLE
A collection of almost 200 files in SVG and GeoJSON formats containing the geographic coordinates of routes linked to Bible stories.
Flora, Fauna, and Realia Handbooks
In addition to its renowned Translator’s Handbooks series, UBS has, over the past decade, published three thematic handbooks focusing on animals, plants, and material culture (realia) in the Bible

MAP is the largest online interagency community for Bible translation, comprising specialists from a wide range of fields, organisations, and nationalities, and a broad range of translation related topics.

Paratext is the world's leading software application for creating and editing new Bible translations, writing study Bibles, and revising existing translations. As a Bible translator this is an indispensable tool for your day-to-day work of translation.

Preliminary and Interim Report for the Hebrew Old Testament Text Project
A concise textual analysis of the Old Testament, created by a committee consisting of key Hebrew scholars, in which they discuss a large number of OT passages with text-critical issues
ProgressBible
As a project manager or funding partner, you may wish to contribute data to ProgressBible. You may also acquire a dashboard account which provides a comprehensive view of Bible translation across the world, based on language — including translation need, program status, and available products.
Semantic Dictionary of Biblical Hebrew
The Semantic Dictionary of Biblical Hebrew (SDBH), translated into Portuguese and English, is based on semantic domains, comparable to Louw and Nida’s Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament. As a Bible translator, it is an incredibly valuable reference tool for your translation work.
